About Shree Balaji (Mala) Textiles

Shree Balaji (Mala) Textiles Limited is an ethnic apparel company primarily focused on the sale of women’s sarees under its distinctive brand, Mala. The company’s core business revolves around its main product specialisation, cotton sarees, alongside embroidery and fancy sarees. It generates revenue from operations through product sales and sales of services to a business-to-business-focused market. Strategically adopting an asset-light operating model, the company relies heavily on outsourcing, manufacturing approximately 95% of its products through an extensive network of independent third-party job workers. While the company maintains its own manufacturing facility in Jetpur, Gujarat, the majority of its production processes, such as bleaching, printing, and embellishments, are outsourced to these intermediaries. The business relies heavily on traditional distribution channels, serving a wide network of retailers, wholesalers, and dealers, with its primary revenue generation heavily concentrated within the Eastern India region.

Strengths

  • Experienced Promoters possessing deep domain knowledge to effectively scale up the business operations.
  • Possession of a vast, versatile, and diversified product portfolio of sarees for women.
  • Maintained long-standing operational relationships with a network of third-party job workers.
  • Established business ability to procure fabric and material requirements in bulk quantities.
  • Presence of a management team and an efficient operational team with established track records.

Risks

  • A substantial portion of total revenue is highly concentrated on a single product segment of cotton sarees.
  • Operations are highly dependent on third-party job workers who manufacture approximately 95% of the products.
  • Revenue generation is heavily concentrated in the Eastern India region, heightening exposure to regional risks.
  • The company experienced negative cash flows from operating activities during the recent 2026 fiscal year.
  • Business operations are dependent on a domestic market and subject to seasonal demand variations around regional festivals.
