The fund hoarder

Open any beginner's portfolio after two or three years and you often see the same thing: a long list of 8, 10, even 15 funds. Each was added at some point because a friend mentioned it, an article praised it, or it looked good last month. Nobody can really explain what each one is for. This is clutter, and it costs more than it looks.
